Boat Docks Installations in Clearwater

Boat Docks | ClearwaterTake advantage of your waterfront home in Clearwater and install a Priority Marine boat dock today. No matter if you have a dinghy or a yacht, it is no use to you stored in a marina. Your vessel was an investment, and with our help, you will be able to go for a cruise in it anytime you wish.  But don’t think this backyard addition needs to be just for storage, you can completely customize it with various sitting options, lighting, and maybe even a grill! Before beginning construction, one of our technicians will help you decide on the type and materials you would like to use, as well as any additional features you would like to add.

Styles of Boat Docks

Often times when our clients picture a boat dock in their mind, they imagine a stereotypical, straight, wooden design. However, depending on your needs, there are plenty of different options we can build. The two main styles we construct at Priority Marine in Clearwater are floating and stationary.

Floating Design

A floating design is ideal for channels where the water level fluctuates heavily. This way, it doesn’t matter if it is a high or low tide; your watercraft will be at the perfect height and won’t sustain any damage. At Priority Marine, we can create this in a variety of shapes, including an “L,” “T,” or “U” silhouette each constructed from materials that are resistant to saltwater, gas, and oil.

Stationary Design

A stationary boat dock, also known as” fixed,” is best for areas of high traffic and can withstand very rough conditions. Waves will flow right underneath it, instead of causing it to become unsteady. You can also add permanent bumpers to the sides to ensure your watercraft isn’t damaged. A stationary design is the best choice if you plan to add a sitting area.

While stationery designs have a variety of building materials for you to choose from, wood is most commonly used when building boat docks in Clearwater. Remember though that the material you use needs to be able to withstand all weather conditions, be impervious to bugs and rot, and hold up well in the water. The Brazilian “Ipe” hardwood is the most common kind we use as it is 5 times stronger than Oak, has a fire rating similar to concrete, and a lifespan of 35 years. At Priority Marine, we also offer Southern Pine Lumber that provides the strength needed to weather our heavy Clearwater storms.

No matter what material you choose, our boat docks will feature the highest quality of construction services to ensure they will do their job while still looking great.
